Ok i am looking at getting a 98 Jimny. I have just sold a 93, full leaf sierra because i wanted something more comfortable to drive around. I have never driven a Jimny however and the one i am looking at is in another state. So i thought i would question you guys before i make the great trek on what to expect.
Lets use a 1 - 10 scale.
1 being a full leaf Sierra with 2 inch on springs.
10 being a full coil GQ on 32's.

Help comfort freak out.

Having driven both of those, I'd say about a 4, 5 maybe 6 if your really generous.

^^ I think my brothers has JB springs with tough dog shocks, I wouldn't say it rides awesome but I reckon its the TD shocks. Wobbles like mad too :(

They sound pretty good. i'm just stuck on what i want. Either getting a 95 duel cab Hilux or a 98 Jimny which is completely set up with winch and all. I love my suzuki's but i don't know if they would be as practical.

Not to mention the Highway use.

I run the Commo/lux shocks.

I understand that people with sierra's do use them but there a bit still for a sierra.

Considering that a jimny is coil sprung (lighter spring rate) and slightly heavier, I find the valving pretty good. Could be a little less but it's a fair bit better then on my last sierra

Anyway, JB coils, lux/Commo shocks, it's pretty good for jumping and around town 8)

IS that my problem all these years!!! My car is hard as hell and a bit skiddish on the dirt. I am running 3inch tough dog springs in the rear with TD shocks. In the front I am running an old set of 5inch Snake racing Rears with Ranchos i believe (this gives me a perfect flat car with Bar and winch) Are you just talking about commo shocks from super cheap or something?
