Post subject:  Anyone dealt with brewskibuilt 4x4 fab?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has dealt with brewskibuilt 4x4 fabrications before
Understandably he asks for a 50% deposit before he builds a front bar.

So before I put down a deposit I did a quick google search and first result was a post from some patrol boys with there trouble from him not delivering there orders and refund issues.

So before I name and shame someone's business I wanted to know if anyone's dealt with him or If there's someone on the forum who could suss out his business. Hes in Caboolture on Lear jet Dr.

He currently has an ad listed on gumtree for winch bars for 450 and tube bars for 350.
Everything seemed legit and he had photos of a sierra bar in progress.
If he's legit then I'll definitely be buying one.

if your first review you found were of unsatisfactory dealings. that should pretty much answer your questions.

but people are more likely to bitch about a bad experience than write about a good one, so who knows how many people have had a good experience with the guy

Yeah that's why I wanted to find out if anyone on here has had a good experience with him. Atari the link says I don't have permission to search?
Also didn't want forum members to get scammed if that's what it is

I'm sure he'll pipe up soon. The work I've seen of his was good, but if you have concerns why don't you talk to Fatzook? He also does great work and can be completely trusted. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=13126

Yeah just did a search. It seems the general opinion is that his work is top notch but Alot of people have problems with time line and communication. If it'll get done then I'm quite happy to pay for it but I'm just wary about paying for things without first knowing who I'm dealing with.

I'm not trying to bad name the guy just wanna know what I'm dealing with.

My roll cage came from him a couple of years ago. I originally looked into him because he contacted me through outerlimits and I had seen the cage that he had built in 2stroker's son's race car and liked the quality. Here was my experience, based completely on the facts.

He originally quoted between $1200 and $1500 depending how many bars I wanted in the cage, fully welded and installed. He said that he could also get the cage blueplated at an extra cost.

When I explained I was in Rockhampton and required it to be freighted and would prefer it flat packed he said that it would not be a problem and without the welding it would be significantly cheaper.

He required a $200 deposit in order to start the work. He didn't require the car because he had a template to build too. The deposit was paid when directed and I was told it shouldn't be more than 2 weeks away.

After several weeks, he informed me that it was complete and to transfer the remainder of the balance. The remainder was transferred and the roll cage was supposedly sent. After a week of not recieving the bar work I contacted him again chasing a tracking number for the freight. He said he had misplaced it and to contact the courier company that he had sent it through. I followed up with the courier who had no idea of him or the parcels.

Once speaking with the courier I again tried to contact him. He began not answering my home phone number and mobile numbers. I had to ring off new numbers in order to get any communication. Eventually we got through and he admitted that he had not sent the bar work at all and was having trouble with the freight. Another month went by before we could contact him again. This time the conversation turned into an argument that lead to threats of physical violence. He insisted that the cage would be sent at this point.

Another week went by and I still had no cage. He then commented in my build thread in a derogatory manner informing me to "keep my dress on" and that it was in the mail. Eventually the cage work turned up and there was no more issues. It did fit as required and the cage eventually saved my life however I would not deal with him again, and would strongly advise that no one ever does. He's a prick to deal with and a terrible business man.

Brewskibilt modified a Sierra ARB bar to suit a 2" bodylift for me several years ago.

The job took longer than promised. It cost more than quoted. The bar (brand new) came back with lots of scratches across the top of it. He had promised to spraypaint the welds which were done but apparently he had no black paint in his shop so that wasn't done.

The welding appeared to have been done well but I'd rather have been quoted a higher price, payed the amount quoted and recieved exactly what was quoted and not gotten stuffed around.

I wasn't suprised when he appeared to shut up shop years ago but I am surprised his name has re-emerged.
