Hi my vitara runs extremely rough until running temp, its a recent problem and was wondering if it is a choke stuck on something and how can I just block it off or something. (don't have any knowledge of carbys so need help)

g16a has an auto choke and yours probably isn't working. (neither is mine) Take off the airbox and have a look at the top of the carb, the plate with the red oval below is the choke, when its closed choke is on. When the engine is cold it should be closed and as the engine heats up it should open. mine was just staying closed so i just ziptied it open to save fuel economy. i would guess that yours is stuck open

Thanks I'll be checking it in the morning. I find it very weird though as until running temp it will blow smoke and run rough like its on 3 cyl and won't Idle then as soon as its at temp it's perfect

Ah ok, sounds like your problem may not be the choke then
