hi guys i have just replaced my broken maf sensor with one i got from the wreckers and the check engline light is still on. I have pulled the error codes and it is error 34 (maf sensor). When i try disconnecting the battery, pulling it out, and cleaning it with maf cleaner and put it back in it works for a few seconds when i first start the engine then the CEL comes back on. Please help |

Is it the same with the old sensor eg good for a few seconds? Might be a problem in the wiring or one of the connectors. |

no the old sensor has been broken for months. you can see where the old one is physically broken |

you don't have a friend or someone with a vit who you could swap the sensor over just to check. I've been caught out when replacing something which is fautly with a new part which is unknowingly faulty, can really throw you off track. |
