hey all currently rebuilding the sisters sierra motor which is a g16b out of a jap half cut vitara. around the 94 vintage at a guess. anyway im trying to get a new rotor button for it. but none of the ones i get from any of the parts shops fit. physically look the same but wont fit onto the dizzy shaft itself meaning it wont go on. after speaking with an old mate from suzuki parts about it this arvo it seems the jap versions had different dizzies than the ozzy ones via part numbers but he couldnt find an engine or type with the dizzy part number i have. also cannot match it up as dont have the old one any more. nfi where it got to but its goonnnee..
so anyway was wondering if anybody knows of a place to purchase or a part number for a rotor button to suit a dizzy with a part number of 33100-57b10 any help greatly appreciated. cheers
just wondering if i maybe just disassemble the dizzy and have the shaft machined down a little bit. doesnt look like the shaft is hard chromed or anything to special?
Repco list 3 types of distributor. My '94 Vit's dissy is in their parts catalog as type 3. Shops like Suzistore also list/stock all the variants and would probably be your best bet to identify what you've got/need. http://www.suzistore.com.au/onlinestore ... 23049.html
Seeing as you're on the Gold Coast - you could try SuziAuto at Springwood - the most experienced Suzuki workshop in Qld IMO.
