Probably a bit of a noob question, but is this a straight swap? I'm looking for a neater finish to a conversion for a sierra |

I think a jimny manifold is the best option, I believe it still has the thermostat at the front like a vitara motor. If you use a baleno manifold they run a different thermostat housing on the back of the head. |

I reckon that's going to be a pain. There's going to be little or no commonality on sensors between the two manifolds- it's likely going to be quite a lash up to get it to work- they each run completely different computers. I understand the desire to loose the crossover pipe, but I think the hassle might not make it worth it. I have looked at reversing the vitara plenum, but there no room for the afm if you do that. I reckon if you want a baleno manifold, and a super neat engine bay then you need the baleno loom and ecu, with coil packs. Steve. |
