I was thinking of mounting the winch I recently acquired on the rear of my LJ. I havent seen many fitted but it would suit my rig better if I could mount it there and run fairleads to the front for forward winching. After the pros and cons of this idea
A mate has a High mount winch behind the front seats in a ute chopped LJ with a tube and a type of fairlead at the front. It's a good idea if you can take the time to make it work well.

From what I've read u want min 900mm from drum to first guid if running rope most just flare a seamless pipe and run it fro there to the front with nice easy bends then run a donut fair lead at the front
