Hey guys, After my last wheel the handbrake has not been working. I have finally gotten around to looking at it and from the outside it is packed full of mud. I have just pulled the drive shaft off but I do not have a socket big enough to get the cover off. But I did notice the rubber bung in the back. From my understanding it is just a drum brake on the transfer, meaning I can just wash it all out through that bung hole? Is this the point of having the bung there? Cheers, Adam |

The bung is for adjustment of the shoes. No reason you can't shove a hose, or compressed air in there. You won't get much out directly, but with persistence, you might loosen it with enough water, so that it drains out slowly. Use a high pressure water blaster if you have one. |
