Just depends if you care more about the paint or going out and not caring too much if it gets a scratch?
Id paint it something unique but not too over the top.

I assume you mean matt protec green :? Everyone wants to be a Gwagensteve these days, no offence meant to him, but for those of you that aren't him come up with ya own ideas.

If ya want a matte protec finish do a british RAF ww2 cammo or something.

As for green sierras look good in a gloss green.

Are you going to do it properly and spray the door jams, engine bay, and all the insides the same colour?

If not, paint it the OEM colour.

^this. If you're going to paint it a different colour to OEM, paint it properly- engine bay, interior etc.

Meh to what colour. Every colour in history has been tried- none of them make a sierra look good. You can't polish a turd. You can roll it in glitter, but it will still smell like a turd.

My choice of colour is purely down to practicality.

Steve.

I assumed he would do it properly. As for making a sierra look good, well thats up to you. I think fresh paint in OEM or conservative colours makes them look well looked after, and for some of us that matters.

Your painting is 100% practical, I agree. Not many people use thier car like you use yours, for example i owned a sierra painted matt green (previously purple  ) it looked like it had never been flopped or leaned on a bank, hardly even had any pinstriping.

The only thing re-spraying the car (from the stock colour of yellow) achieved was making it look like yours, may as well have bought a tin of yellow gloss.

I feel many people use your paint choice because it is the cool thing ATM, it is not much more difficult to touch up with OEM colour.

I'm having the same conundrum.

Missus wants it blue, but I think, original colour, but different. Just a really whiter white than the original white.

I've had yellow, lime green, sky blue, and white, all where good, and all were gloss 2 pack.

As has been mentioned before, if you paint it a different color, make sure you do the interior/engine bay/door jambs to match. Its just a half Arsed job otherwise.
