Hey first post and topic been reading this forum for few months thanks to auszookers I've narrowed down my choice for my first 4wd to a sierra I won't be bush bashing or anything like that just camping on the week ends mainly shooting trips on my own or with one person so I pack pretty light hence the reason I like the sierra small compact but still a very capable 4wd. it won't be my daily driver just wanting your thoughts on tire size and what suspension upgrades you would use as a week end tourer planning on a hard top and building draws for the back and a roof rack can they still sit on 100kph with 31inch a\t if you get the wright reduction gears any thoughts would help cheers

Yeah, provided you gear it right you'l be able to do 110 just fine.

Personally for touring/camping I'd go for some 215/75r15 mud tyres on the stock rims with some 4.16:1 transfer gears and a rear air locker. It will go pretty well anywhere, drive very nicely, the police wont bat an eye and will be very reliable/you'l never have to worry about breaking anything.

IMO don't bother with A/Ts, modern mud tyres are quite good and Sierras don't drive well enough for A/Ts to be worthwhile.
