Hey all doing a engine conversion in my Sierra with a g16b coil pack baleno but I've put a 4 speed auto behind it.

Wondering what the the best way on wiring the auto up with the engine.
I've done a engine conversion best but not with a auto

It's possible to patch the vitara TCC to the baleno ECU just by connecting the correct wiring. (Which is just coolant temp and TPS from memory) We have a car in the club that runs a jimny computer patched to a vitara TCC and it shifts perfectly. No electronic trickery is required.

as long as the tps signal is the same as the vitara one you should be fine.
i would assume the suzuki ones would all be similar.

Obviously the key is you need the vitara TCC.

TCC what's that stand for

Will try and find a balano computer that had auto. As I have the manual one

TCC= Transmission Control Computer. Vitaras, and Jimny's (I think) use a separate transmission control box. It is fed a few signals from the engine computer, and then controls shifts.

You 100% DONT want an auto baleno computer. A Baleno auto isn't the same as an AW-4 and a Baleno auto ECU won't control it properly. (Well, that's not strictly speaking true... maybe it would, but it would be an epic struggle to try and get it to work and you'd need Jrzook levels of smarts)

Just use a manual baleno computer and feed the appropriate signals from the engine loom at the vitara TCC. I know this 100% works for a Jimny computer and a Vitara TCC, so I see no reason why it wouldn't work with a comparable age Baleno computer.

I don't have any more tech on this other than knowing that it can be done - I've driven DOOF, sierrajim's LWB, and I can confirm it shifts perfectly.

It runs a G16B bottom end with jimny injection and computer, with a Vitara TCC and AW-4 auto.
