Took my rear bar off today to have a look how I'm going to mount the rear bar... And there is NOWHERE where I can just bolt it on Chassis is covered by the crossmember which is really shit and the only place the stock bumper brace is held on is by 2x 8mm bolts.. How did you mount your @Sco-tie?

What do you guys reckon if I cut the crossmember out so I can get chassis points and modify the crossmember for a tank lift as well? Then refit it back to the chassis?

Also what are these vents for? Want to cut them off because the design of my rear bar I want to make will show the vents.

those vents go up into the cab i believe.

why not make up some brackets that come backward from chassis rails and wrap around. then bolt to them.
you shouldnt need to cut the rear cross member at all by the looks of it

Every car has those vents. They are for when you shut the door with all the windows up.. That vents the air pressure. Otherwise you'd slam the door and the windscreen would pop out

they're actually part of the flow through ventilation system, the air comes in via the cowl grill in front of the base of the windscreen, does it HVAC thing through the vents & out the cars bum somewhere via vents.

i reckon if cars were that air tight they'd float a lot longer.

Didn't even think of that... Think I might go 1 each chassis rail and 1 in the middle.

i think it would be ok i hav friends with duelcab utes that have simply filled these vents with silicon

See my pics i sent you. You can also put tabs on the top of the bar and bolt to the body where the stock one came off for a bit more support.
