| Post subject: | sierra lockrite issue |
Hi guys. Today I started installing the lockrite I've had sitting around for months. Pulling the standard diff apart was no problen, everything was going smoothly but the smoothness ended when I started installing the lockrite into the carrier. The thrust washers that are ment to be reused with the new side gears (the couplers supplied with the locker) are to small and do not fit. The couplers themselves do not fit into the carrier. Have low range sent me the wrong locker... or is there somthing im not getting? Has anyone had this problem before? My diff is in pieces on the bench, I was hoping to have it all done today so its abit annoying. Ill get some pics up soon. ![]() ![]() Thanks. Rhys. |

Wrong couplers im guessing. Do the couplers have the same spline count as the axles? 26spline? |

I'll give them a count tomorrow, should have already done that. I'd say they are the wrong ones, problem is I bought them earlier this year... hopefully they will be willing yo swap them for the right ones.. |

Alright, one coupler is a 27 spline coupler with CAL H1 stamped on it, the other coupler supplied is a 26 spline coupler with CBY J1 stamped on it. There are very obvious differences between the 2(besides the spline count).. Why did I not see this yesterday? Now to wait for a reply from low range and hopefully get this sorted. Thanks for the help guys! |

Is that right? Usually there pretty good. Did they replace it with the right part? |
