Mates got a 93 1600cc vitara, last couple of trips out the drivers cv pops out and looses front wheel drive.... We can usually reach under line it up and push back in. It's got 3 inch lift kit and I'm thinking that when the front wheel drops down I'm thinking it's being pulled out.

Anyone had this problem before ?

Has it still got the circlip on the end of the cv? Might be time for some diff drop brackets

Not sure about diff drop brackets, I'll take a look.....the circlip I'll have to check... Just out of interest because mechanically I'm learning as I go... How does the clip allow you to insert back in but then help prevent them from coming out ?

It's really a snap ring, it sits in a groove inside the diff to keep the cv from falling out. It requires a pry bar or similar to get it out
