Hi all I have just picked up a new Sierra and its got led blinkers all round, there all working but are blinking fast, How do I fix this, I have 2 12v resistors at home but not sure where to wire them in. Or am I better to change the blinker unit under the dash.? |

IMHO change the blinker unit - quicker and easier than wiring resistors into everywhere. Steve. |

The resistor gets attached across the light (one side to positive, other to negative) but as Steve suggested probably easier to switch flasher cans over |

Yeah sounds like you're using a normal flasher. Get an LED flasher. Will just work. |

I bought an led flasher can from an auto elec for $25, they even fitted it for free. |

Didn't want to create a new thread, So I'll add to this. Changed my rear taillights to LED units, blinker is now fast. No worries I thought and ordered a LED flasher can/relay off eBay. Installed and tested with ignition on but engine off, blink rate is fine. Start engine and blink rate is fast again, WTF? Voltage issue? |

Nevermind. Found the one out of my donor baleno and filed a certain little 'hoop' that's inside the can to reduce the flash rate. Maaad. |
