Need help asap. Want to know if tranfer case from ealier model vitatas from 89 to 96 will fit on a 97 sv420 auto. Cheers heaps |

Yes however around 95 onwards they changed the spline on the yolk for the tail shaft so if ya get an earlier tranfer case just get the tail shaft too |

actually yeah good point so either of my shafts wouldve worked. my old one had new unis tho so i used it |

i use an SV transfer case and i didnt have any dramas with the spline on the shaft but i had to change my speedo gear at the transfer end. The size of the SE / SV gears are different and my se one is smaller so just completely missed the SV gear. Wasnt hard to change, just had to track down an SV speedo gear for the end of the speedo cable and happy days. My speedo is now perfect with 31" tires. |
