Not sure what you call them but I want to get some new caps for the door lock mechanism. Currently using milkbar straws to stop them getting lost in the door panels, but that's a bit povo. I've been around SCA and Repco etc, but the caps they sell don't fit properly, both the normal ones and the novelty ones. Either the shaft bit is too thick or the novelty cap (skulls or dice) stop the mechanism from going up and down properly.

Any idea where I can source a zook approved replacement? Or any idea what thread size this is so I can figure out some sort of fix?

I bought metal replacements in an Advance AutoParts in Florida, drilled them out and then cut them to size.

I'm having similar issues with the cheap plastic ones being pulled off the thread.. I'm wondering if the Suzuki Chrome door fittings would be any better as they potentially screw onto the threat?

The thread is M5 0.7 (measured it with my tap/die set). I might check Suzistore tomorrow and see what they've got... probably the first place I should ask but only just occurred to me

You can have the ones off my car if you wish.

My sierra doesn't have a roof, so locking doors is a bit pointless.

Let me know if you are interested.

Too expensive for the average Sierra owner!
