Well i'm about to rip out the 1.3 in the sierra for its heart transplant, and just went to take it for its last drive down to my stepdads place to use his shed and i cant select reverse, it wont go into 5th either.
It goes right across but not up or down and if i do push it right across between 5th and reverse and let the clutch out it goes forward.
Anyone have this happen or know what it could be? slector? the plastic thingy?

Ive got some troops coming to help push it so i can get out my drive

I would be looking at the selector sheet (plastic thingy) or the bolt that goes in the back of the selector housing. Otherwise just split the box while it's on the floor.

Rebuilt my green sierras gbox and have the same thing. I've been too lazy to pull it apart too far but its not the bolt or the rubber. It something binding the actual selector linkage that runs lengthways.
