Hi all,
I've got a 92' LWB efi auto Vitara and I'm trying to remove the sump pan to replace the filter. I've dropped the driveshaft out of the way and removed all the sump pan bolts. The pan seems to be stuck very well to the box. Is it common for people to use gasket sealer when putting them back on? I just don't want to damage it at all. Also there is a pipe on the side of the pan that appears to be the dipstick tube. How did I get this off or whatever to drop the pan. I can't take the bolt out that holds the tube as it hits on the auto park adjuster thing. Surely it can't be this hard. Any help please.

Well I finally got it off using a claw hammer and it separated with a bang. And the dipstick tube comes in half (thankfully). But the buggers sold me the wrong filter and gasket kit. Back to the shop.

Good news,i didn't like to say but Suzuki seem to love using sealing agents on gaskets.
