Hey guys,

I'm after some advice on what inline efi pump to run in my crawler running a g16b,

What brands are good etc, any advice would be great,

You can either work out the maximum amount of fuel you can possibly use, based on injecotor size, then double it and buy a pump that suits that flow rate.

or just buy the same pump that comes in whatever car the g16b comes in from factory.

Just run the cheap, tried and proven VL commodore external high pressure EFI pump like many of us do. I'm just using a cheap derivative re:not bosch and it works fine.

Im fairly sure the VL pump is the 0 580 464 070.

http://www.bosch.com.au/car_parts/en/do ... lpumps.pdf

For interest sake, apparently the g16b injectors are 172cc/min, so 4 of them is about 41L/hour (at 100% duty, ie never). that 070 pump is rated at 130L/hour. You could get away with the 0 580 254 911 (95L/hour), i used one on my 4age for a few yrs. (4age injectors are 182 or so, not much difference)

There is no point pumping fuel around your car for no reason, just heats the fuel up.

I also use the external vl pump, for a turbo application also. Perfect for the job, small and quiet also

except you can get the vl one cheaper and nearly every auto parts place in Australia has one sitting on the shelf

This is the biggest factor. Its a very common pump. Think I got a new generic brand VL one for like $40 from ripco surprisingly.

yer well depends on price i guess.

I prefer the proper Bosch one which for the 070 is still $150ish on ebays.

I cant recall how much i paid for the 910, too long ago.
