Post subject:  Will a Jimny G-series power steer fit on an m-series motor

Hi All,
I am a mechanical novice and am wondering if the power steering of a g-series jimny motor will work/fit on an m-series motor?
Thanks
Corey

Box will fit the chassis rail, but the pump will need a new bracket made for it as the motor mounts are different.

Thanks for the response. Can I just use a bracket from m-series motor? If not where would I get a bracket made?

Got and fitted a motor mount from a Liana (from local suzuki mechanic) which fits the motor but now the original aircon bracket doesnt fit even if cut. Any ideas? Will an M13 aircon bracket fit and if so where could I get one? Other than that anywhere I can get a custom bracket made quickly and inexpensively??

Contradiction of terms.

x2

The hardest/most frustrating things I have ever done have been custom accessory brackets.

At my last job thats all I did :-( some young leco/mechanic saying he wants this funky box here. Not to the left a bit, not to the right, not too high not too low and in 30mins he'll be back to hook it all up.

Assuming we're talking about the same thing, fabricating custom, tensioning brackets for alternators, compressors etc into an existing engine, and have them work properly without spitting/slipping the belts, having adequate range of adjustment, and not falling apart is what I'm describing as the hardest, most frustrating work I've done.

Judging by the number of companies that charge a fortune for LS accessory drive kits in the US, I reckon I'm not the only one who'd rather stab themselves in the eye than built accessory drive brackets.

 plus anyone with an LS has enough money to buy rather then slave away with a pistol drill and 5"

Once they make the first one the rest is just copy after copy though. LS's arent expensive, its the stuff behind the LS that gets expensive.

Are the pumps the same between M and G series, just different brackets? Might find an M series bracket at a wrecker or something if so.
