Do they look something like this?

I put some in mine.... here

Use the Sierra rails, the seats are the same width, just slightly longer. Drivers side just needs to be redrilled, passenger will need more work

Yea same seats, i tried to take the rails off but i think im too tired to work it out tonight lol, I undid 2 bolts from under the rails on the gti seats and they didnt even budge so i might leave it for tomorrow. so you just drilled another hole for the sierra rails to fit the seats right?
and how my harder is the passenger side?
thanks by the way i was expecting to find out the hardway how to do it

The GTi seats have a bolt on the side as well, under the plastic trim. The drivers seat will fit with a new hole re-drilled, the passenger rail is too short to suit the GTi seat. I made up a plate for that, I'll see if I still have the photo.
Mine are WT seats too, not sure if the rails are the same as yours?

Found it

As you can see, the front mount is too far forward to mount on the rail. I just used that flat bar as that's all I could find at the time. Turned out to work ok, probably needs a lick of paint though.

i think the nt ones may be different also mine is a ute, there are 2 mounting blocks on the back and 1 strip along the front for the seat to sit on, makes it hard to reach under. After looking at the rails, the gti ones are further apart than my sierra ones, but it looks like there are some holes closer together that the sierra rails can bolt into, is this what you did?

I think the WT rails are completely different to the ute ones. You may have to fab something up to fit them

i have an 85 NT and the gti seats were an absolute sinch to fit. i use the sierra rails, redrilled one hole to suit the spacing on the gti seats and in they went. not sure if the utes are different

Nice looking seats Keechox :P

The utes don't have adjustable rails, they're fixed in position. They should still fit in, they'll just need a bit more dicking around.

my car was outside today so couldnt really do anything today it was rainin :/ .. the rails that are on the gti seats now are too wide to even fit in where the seats meant to be ones up on the top of the tunnel while the other is in pos on the other side, itll probably be this weekend now

is there really a point to putting gti seats in a ute? if your over 4 foot tall yo'll have a bit of trouble fitting in

do the GTI seats sit any higher? If anything you would sink into them more and therefore be lower in the car?

Got the seats in lastnight!! took about 1 hour to swap the rails over and get them in.
The gti rails are further apart than the sierra ones but theres holes already drilled in between which fit perfectly on the sierra seat mounts, no modding was needed driver or passenger side just slapped the rails on and in they went, you sit up a bit higher with these seats mainly because your ass is dead up against the back of the seat so you can fit in. Also they take up a bit of room especially in the ute, but its worth it for the comfortability. Im 6'2 and if i take my shoes off for that extra 1cm of room between me and the pedals its just right. lol

I'm only 5'6" & feel cramped enough in the ute! You knees must be up around your neck 8O

well it is a bit tight, i just have to sit back as far as i can to actually fit in the car physically, also the rails stop about 1.5 inches before the seats hit the back so ill have to mod them somehow.. getting some flex pics up tomorrow =)
