looking at buying a 6000lbs warn winch. just wondering what the minimum load rating you would use on a sierra? Just asking as i can get this one for a good price. thanks. |

6000lb is a good size as you can tell the bigger cars that your winch is to small and at the same time through a snatch block it is 12000lb. |

There's a guy on here selling 12000lbs winches. Yes it's overkill but it means the winch won't have to work as hard. And it only weights 25kg |

I run a 9500lb winch (chinese Ebay job) and it pulls me out of ANYWHERE. I usually use a doubler block when I have to save patrols, luxes and cruisers.(Which happens all the time I've pulled over a dozen cars up some serious rock ledges without drama. If you fit a 6000lb unit you will surely overload it pulling someone else other than a Zook. Jas. |
