Hey guys
Have a 1999 jimny! Pre air bagged, g13bb
Planning on doing the old work bus up as a daily/daytourer/fishing/shooting truck!
I want it sitting on 235s so that I don't ruin the economy
But don't wanna spend the big bucks on the td or procomp 3" kits, happy enough with 2" as I can strengthen everything my self.
So my question is to gain a bit of height should I body lift it. & what are the down sides to body lift
Sorry if this has been discussed prior first time posting in a long time! Cheers

Keep your 2" lift and do a guard chop. Should clear 235's easy

Pros: - reversible, looks stock, tyre clearance, raised sills Cons: - requires certification, slightly raised COG. (Not the full 50mm as the chassis and drive train aren't affected), existing barwork needs to be modified to suit

Yeah bar works no wukkas cause I'm removing the bumpers and building actual bar work haha I know it's not. Good move on a patrol cause there so heavy. I think it will be fine on a jimny

It really depends on the size of the blocks provided, I size the blocks to the body rubbers thereby the imparted forces are too dissimilar to standard. It when you have big trucks supported on 50od blocks that you have issues. That said any time you start jumping trucks and giving them a real hard time it doesn't matter what you do mounts will suffer body lift or not

hay JC body blocks against the body or the chassis? i have mine upside down (under the rubber) but haven't seen any damage. crappy bolts in my kit so if i upgrade to yours how do you suggest fitment?

Blocks on top of the rubber under the body, chassis is contoured and the rubbers are obviously made to fit
