Hi All,

I've decided to make some extended shackles myself. I've already purchased the metal (40mmx6mm Flat Bar & 30mmx30mmx3mm Box Section) and bolts (1/2 Inch by 3.5 Inches Zinc Plated)

Does anyone know what length the Box Section should be ? It will be welded between the flat bar for strengh.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Daniel

As Scrawn said. Bolt up the stock shackle and measure the length of the bolt from the inside face of both sides of the shackle.

I just bought some new crush tubes recently, they are about 64mm. I'll check on the weekend the exact length.

I went 58mm for a snug fit so it wouldn't flog out the pin holes

Thanks guys,

Might just go with 60mm to be on the safe side.

Cheers,
Daniel
