hey guys, just out or curiosity what sorta economy are people getting with there Jimnys

running 235s, 30s, ect

30*9.5 km2's with a 27% gear reduction to get 4150rpm@ 100kph, tyre presure 32psi, geting 370k from 40l with a m13A vvt
10.8l/100
9.25km/l
usage practically doubles in soft sand

you guys find the 1.3 still pushes it along no worries with the bigger tyre, obviously with reduction gearing.

i must be a gutter minded individual

the m13 is overworked and is slightly labored in a slight headwind in 5th with 30's
so if your nit immediately down changing to 4th (or just driving in 4th all the time to begin with) you can expect 14l/100, especially if your ruining tire pressures lower so your spine doesn't shatter.
i would not want to do many k's (especially on the roads here) with 32 pound in the tyres.

I was getting 300km to a tank - 320 at best with 30" KM's Auto VVT Transfer and my 1.3

I haven't finished a full tank on my 1.8 yet - back tot he stock transfer and 30" KM2's

28-30 psi difference is I carry a lot of crap at any time - tools ETC

i was also wondering what runing a jimny throttle body does in terms of economy on a M15.
the WOT power figures would have to be lower with the jimny throttle body has more restriction *then the m15 body8, but when the butterfly is the point of restriction (and assuming the air:fuel ratio is maintained) the only extra energy loss is a marginal increase in friction from the additional piston circumference so fuel economy should be fine unless your at WOT. in effect it would be harder to labour the engine.

235's auto vvt m18 get about 300kms running 98. A bit more if I up the tire pressure but you feel it on road.

Around 265 klm per tank (~34L) 2008 M13A VVT 33" x 12.5" tyres running 25psi front & 29psi rear
