Probably. I doubt it would munch gears but it would wear very fast. |

I don't see the gearbox being as much a problem as the clutch. I reckon there's a reason J motored Vitaras use a hydraulic clutch, and it might be related to how hard it is to keep a clutch cable in a G16 Vitara. I reckon the clutch will be a huge hassle before the gearbox has a chance to break. I agree I don't think a 1.3 gearbox will break, I just reckon it wear out super quick… and considering it will be over 20 years old before you start, I'd say it's on bottomed time. Steve. |
