I have heard/seen on a couple of websites that jimny and sj80 front control arms are the same. Does anyone know if the rears are the same? And/or does anyone know a company that makes upgraded rear arms for sj80?

Pretty sure the rear is different. Suzi Auto had a set of tubular arms for a coily on their shelf for a long time. They might still be there. IMO the arms are stronger than the diff mounts and chassis mounts so aren't really something which needs upgrading. Spare ones are easy enough to obtain as they can get a slight bend in them but I never had a problem and have never used a spare because the arm broke or bent.

hi Reubs, about two years ago I broke rear right diff mount, got it repaired and lightly braced. A year later the diff bent from a trip up the cape (probably due to too much weight and corrugations/dips). I got a new diff braced and the mounts braced again.

I was out wheelin on the weekend. a steep hill which went wrong bent the arm. We straightened it but it broke later in the afternoon.

I am looking for a set of original arms to replace and to keep a spare, but through i would see what else is out there

4xfourart suspension has them in a kit, not sure if they are sold separately and you would have to import them but they look a lot stronger then standard
