Can anybody tell me which is correct airflow pipe for 5/1996 SWB Vitara.with G16B Engine When I purchased car it had K&N filter on it & black rubber air pipe. However local garage refused a blue slip & told me to flick the K&N and put it back to standard!! I purchased one online from a Suzuki wrecker & provided him with my VIN & was provided with the black rubber air supply pipe I also bought an air box of him but already had the air sensor. However when I came to fit them up the air box fitted in OK but the oxygen sensor when fitted into air box was a very loose fit. Also the plastic/rubber air flow pipe seems to be to long and has to be really rammed up against throttle body to try & get the two locating bolts into place. Had a look on web &it appears the 1996 cars had a metal air flow pipe & a different type hose (slightly bent) into air box. Have I been sold wrong air pipe?? I know I could try to modify what I have but would like to put correct parts back on. Have tried to locate part number for either rubber or metal air pipe with no luck. Last 4 numbers of my VIN are 1275 Thanks in advance. Dusty |

96 vits are a bit special, but it should be a plastic pipe and yes its tight, try loosening the bolts holding the bracket you need to bolt the hose too off a bit first |
