Yo!

So I changed out my busted ass gearbox today and installed a pretty brand reco one. Problem is when we fired it up we got a god awful screech and the smell of clutch.

By this stage it was dark and due to other circumstances we couldn't investigate further.

Just wondering if you can contribute any ideas of what it may be. We are hoping the clutch just needs to be adjusted and that's that, possibly adjust the starter as well. Is there much of a chance it was more than this? I could select gears and it would still drive, it just screeched.

Cheers, and thank you!
John.

Sorry, also worth noting the clutch & plates werent removed during the swap. So, should still hopefully be in line.

All the time, clutch in or out. Bearing seemed fine on install, spun freely, no dramas and was seated correctly (I believe).

Really hoping it's just adjustment, would hate to have to pull it apart again, haha.
