Hi All,
New here, first post.

Recently picked up a 93' sierra and have big plans for it.
Done a little work to her here and there already, nothing too major going to put a body liff on her and she needs her uni's, new carby and LHF hub seal done.
I have basic mechanical skills and want to try do most of it myself if possible, Any input whatsoever would be great.

Just put that light bar on her.

I have $2500 to spend on it to start with. It also needs RWC.
I'm looking around trying to find a few things for it. Any input regarding acquiring these would be great!

First up I'm looking for a decent Bullbar preferably ARB, needs to be winch compatible, don't really want to spend near 1k on one though, so if anyone knows of some decent ones or second handies that would be great!

love the look of these bullbars, anyone know where to get them ?

another thing that i have seen loads of and really love are these wheel arches,

i've looked around trying to find the specific name of them and the only ones i found were $600 bucks off ebay :/
If anyone has or knows where to get them for a reasonable price, i'm all ears.

as for mechanical stuff that will help her when she's in the mud, i'm probably looking for a bit more lift, possibly lockers and a winch to go on my bulbar.
Again suggestions here would be great, i haven't done much wheeling in my own car before.
Planning on going up the beach and doing some mild mud work with her.
Open for any opinions and ideas, any suggestions would be helpful. Also input into what i should spend the 2.5 on first would help, i'm horrible at prioritising.
thanks.
:D

No harm in having a go at making a bar yourself, if you've got access to a welder and are half handy, just an option.

My choice in mods in order of importance from my point of view would be,
2" spring lift
30" tyres on 15x7's (whatever the f100 rims are maybe their 15x8...)
Home made front and rear bar and a set of sliders.
auto locker in the rear.
Transfer gears of some ratio, probably 6.5's

That'd probably chew up all of your 2500 and maybe a bit more

but it all depends on what kind of 4x4ing you'll be doing it in?

sorry i should've mentioned, It has what looks like a 3" spring lift.
She's also got 30" bighorns on her.
Doesn't have sliders, will probably get some.
I was thinking about getting auto lockers in the front and later on getting air lockers in the rear.
Does anyone know where to get these wheel flares from at a reasonable price?

Don't forget to cruise through the build threads and look at what others are doing. You will gets one great ideas off others.

Unless you have a solid idea of what you want to end up with, go bit by bit and improve it as you go.. Drive it and see what it needs next! But remember that every mod will negatively affect something else. So before you do it, search it. See what others say about it. Many of the things I thought I would do to my Sierra, I've figured out I don't need it or really want it. Other things have cropped up that I've bumped up the priority list the more I use the car.

Keep a close eye on the classifieds here, see what crops up. If there's something you can't live without and you can't/don't want to fork out for a new one, put a wanted ad up in the appropriate place.

Enjoy your car mate :)
