I know a few of you guys have done this conversion before. Just after some ideas and pics of how to fab the gearbox mount (I want to keep the factory mount if possible). It's going into a swb sierra. Thanks in advance. |

I'm on my phone ATM- check the trolley tug build. We made our own close out plate, but you can now buy the required bush from trail tough. The box definitely fits with the stanadard gearbox crossmember in place. Steve. |

sorry for the hijak, do these trimatics share anything with the holden ones? For example could you put a RWD output housing from a holden trimatic on to the output of the vitara trimatic? |

I'm not sure if the cases are interchangeable with Holden versions, lots of the internals are. Steve. |

cases are different, kick-down cable is missing on the holden case, the range selector is on the other side and it has and extra couple of wires as far as the internals go the output shaft is a different length, input shaft splines are the same (as link as you don't have a torque converter lock-up) every thing else "looks" the same. |

CHeers guys, Yeah I thought the output shaft maybe be the killer as just looking at photos the bolt pattern looks similar |

Do I use the sierra or swift flywheel for the auto? |

Neither. You need the flexplate from the vitara. Autos don't use flywheels. Steve. |

Will the swift/baring flexplate and torque converter be the same as a vit? |

I'd say there's zero chance of that. Steve. |
