Anyone ever had injectors that have sat around for a few years seize ? Trying to start this motor after 5yrs in the shed uncovered. I have new fuel pump, spark, injector pulse, new fuel but still no fire. The car will start and run with fuel squirted into the throttle body. The conclusion i have arrived at is rusted/blocked injectors any other thoughts before i send them to get checked ?
in the past I've just found a bit of hose to put over the inlet of the injector, put some fuel/carby clean in and blew on it with my mouth while manually pulsing it with some scrap wire/alligator clamps connected to a battery. It's a quick and dirty way of checking without many tools to see if they at least open up.
you could get creative and rig up a fuel pump/ aerosol can if you wish. they key is to pulse them rapidly, but they may be too far gone, or they'll be fine and you have another issue.
