the following got me thinking about what we collectively know

An hour an end should kill it. I reckon they will bolt in, there will be some redundant plugs for the abs wheel sensors on the 2012 diffs.
Not sure on diff ratio.
Steve.
Ratio will be the same unless it's from an auto.
98-2004 ratio is 4.11
2005+ is 4.3
All autos were 4.3
if we assume both 2005+ manual and auto jimnys have the same diffs, (and we know they have the same 205/70r15's stock) then the speedo ring on the output shaft of the transfer case would be counting the same number of revolutions and the speedo would read that and display it.
now unless the ratios are different in a auto, why does a auto transfer case in a manual read 100kph at 100gps, with 30xp.5"tyres. this is a 13% decrease in gearing.
whether the diff ratio is different, or the speedo ring is different, or both, something needs to be happening to counteract the larger tyres.
