I want to get a set of black sunraysias for my 98 vitara, am just wonderiing what offset is best? It is the 4 cyl, 2 litre with power steering and I am looking at putting 16x8 on it. Is there any sunraysia wheel brands that are better quality and recommended or is there brands too cheap and nasty to steer clear of? Is it best just to ask for rims with offset that suits suzuki, or are F100 offset more suitable? At present at almost full lock, the tyre touches the chassis (have to set the stops one day) with its stock alloy 16x7 rims. Or do you put different offset at each end (suzuki on front, F truck on rear)? The tyres are federal couragia 255x70x16 and are only a couple of months old, just they have shown up the dented rims and wobble as a result, I have looked for some straight rims to fix the problem, but havent found any, so will go the sunraysia path. |

I'm running 15x7 on -13 with 30/9.5 mud terrains and only just scrub the chassis at full lock. Did a bunch of caliper sanding to fit the 15's on tho |

Be careful with Sunnies and clearance on the calipers - the 2L Vits have bigger brakes and even many 16" sunraysias won't clear them. Something like a -13 offset should work OK with that size - any bigger and you will need to do some steering stop and panel work. If you plan to go bigger in the future maybe look at XL7 alloys - more panel work but more chassis clearance. |
