Hi all, Have a '97 Sierra (JX) hardtop. Will mostly be used in muddy conditions so wondering about the carpet in it. Was this standard on this model and if so will it take to being hosed off or should I just remove it? If removing it - is there anything I need to know before I start (like a hidden surprise that requires taking the whole goddam car apart to do the job!). I'm going to take out the back seats and probably change the front's as well so will do it when I'm doing that job. Just collecting info at the moment. Cheers Bushie. |

Must be a hard top thing as soft tops have a two peice vinyl floor. I like washing the foor out after muddy trips. You might be able to find a vinyl floor and swap it over. To answer your question you will have to remove seats, transfer boot and gear stick boot. |

Also you might notice a bit more road noise. |

Soft tops where made for mud slinging adventures so carpet wasn't even thought of haha, I'd recommend remove the shit and coat with a tub liner or spray adhesive to rust and water proof |

That was with the plugs removed too to let it drain. I repaired it and went with UPOL raptor tub liner. It came up a treat. |
