Not exactly something that regularly needs replacing, so I'm not sure if there are any "gotchas" to look out for. Basically, the shmucks that stole my car decided to cut random hoses here and there and this morning I noticed my windscreen washers weren't working, popped the bonnet and sure enough it is sliced right through. Is replacing it as simple as cutting off a section and buying a few meters from the local hardware, or does something so simple need to be purpose-specific (it does route relatively close to the exhaust headers, for instance)? I almost feel stupider for asking such a question but I don't think I've ever had to muck with a window washer in my life. |

you should just be able to find a plastic hose joiner in the right size and put it in. most car wrecks will have a few of these in the washer hoses, some one might even give you one |

Good idea. I'll give that a whirl, providing it doesn't stretch itself apart - the cut is right where it "stretches" when you open the bonnet. I'll pull it through and give it a bit more wiggle room. |

if worried about it pulling apart which it can once gets hot, can use these. I had to reconect a vacume hose once that was split just above the exhaust. http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online ... 0704#Cross and two hose clamps if really concerned. Or hose quick connects may work perfectly just push the hose in if they try and pull out the tighter the clamping force. The hose size would be about the same. http://www.bunnings.com.au/filter-acces ... s_p5090121 |

I used drip irrigation pipe joiners to extend my washer hose. |
