Hey guys
I'm looking at buying a 1996 Suzuki vitara jlx (3 door)
However, when i took it for a test run i found manual steering wasn't great and i would want power steering if i was to buy it.
Any help on approximate costs and how i can go about installing power steering.
Much help appreciated, Thanks! :)

If it's definitely a JLX it will already have power steering. You need to find out why it's heavy

P/s was standed on all JLX's and all LWB's
But anyways p/s is a straight bolt up you will need p/s box, lines, pump ect you can usually pick these up from around $250 give or take a few bob, you will also need the steering shaft that goes from the firewall to the steering box.
If the car has no a/c fitted the size belt you will need is a 410pk if it has a/c fitted then im not sure on the belt size needed

Hope that helps

I was fairly confident that PS was standard on the JLXs... maybe a bit of aftermarket badge engineering going on?

If this one is heavy in the steering it could be as simple as the pump needing new seals/rebuilding.* Was it on standard tyres?

*I said simple, not cheap unfortunately.

I probably should have said 'should', not 'will'. It's possible someone has stuck a rear JLX door on giving the impression it's a JLX.
