Post subject:  New clutch slipping in higher rpm?? Possibly?

Hey guys.
Just when out driving for a bit in the mud. And on the way back noticed that when the revs get up to about 3500 there is a sudden jump up in the revs in 3rd gear and up. Didn't notice it too much in the other two gears but I was on a main road and didn't want to slow down that much to check. Once I was home I could smell something, maybe clutch. But I'm not very sure what clutch smells of. I can assure you I don't ride the clutch either!
Anyway, the clutch is about 2 weeks old. I put it in myself with the help of a guy I work with. (I work at a Honda service center) so it wasn't done dodgyly and I had a experienced mechanic with me.
Just wondering if this can be due to anything else or how I could fix this!
I noticed the air pipe that goes from the top of my engine to the air box came off. Could it cause a vacuum to stuff up or something like that? Just chucking ideas out there...

Well hope I have explained it well enough for someone to give me a point in the right direction.

Thanks.
Thomas.
