Hey guys!
Sorry to start a new thread regarding light wiring - but I cannot find anything regarding wiring with a Carling switch.
So - at the moment I have a set of 7" HID's mounted and wired to a generic rocker switch in my 2002 Jimny. Wired so they can only be operated upon accessories power, and switchable independent of the headlights.
What I really want to do is wire them to the Carling switch, then triggered by the high beams (relay in line of course).
Has anyone got a brief explanation / diagram of the process of wiring here?
Thanks heaps guys!
Scott.

Thanks Timmy. Had a look through that a few times before but couldn't see much regarding Carling switches. Definitely a lot of useful info though. Thanks mate.

The electrician that did mine fitted diodes to the relay.

So. Im going to reveal my ignorance here. Do I really need a relay in line? Is there any reason this wouldn't work?

Or alternatively, with the relays -

Yes, you definitely need relays! The load is too great for the switch alone

Cool. Thanks mate. I think I have it sorted - Just need to fix up the relay order in the diagram above. But should be all good!
