So after a long time I think I have now found the knocking noise in my Jimny. I was out driving and could slightly feel knocking in the steering wheel. When I got home I had a look under the car but couldn't find anything but then accidentally hit the steering arm with my elbow and it made a noise. I pushed it up and down a few times and I sounded like it. I had my dad move it while I was sitting inside the car and it sure sounds like it.

It seems like the steering dampener is putting weight on the front side of it causing it to jump up and down after every little bump and the noise being made is from the joints when it reaches as far forward as it can possibly go.

Anyone else had this problem before and how did they fix it? Seems really strange to me as I've never heard of it happening to anyone else with a steering dampener.

Thanks
Nick
