Post subject:  A Few Questions about Vit Front end.

Hey guys getting ready to put my front end back together in the race truck. Have a few worries.

My diff brackets seem really wobbly. Being a race car not worried about vibrations could i solid mount it?

My drivers side cv has been in the weather for a while. Its a bit rusty. Can i just clean it up with emory tape/sand paper etc.

I have pulled the rear diff centre out to get the spool put in. The rear wheel bearings had no play in them, the bearings are open on the inside edge, can i clean them up and re pack them with grease?

THanks for the help boys.

Solid mounting anything is a bad idea in my opinion.
Vibrations can cause cracking, breakage etc.
New mounts all round could help.
As for reusing old parts, I do it a lot, being a cheap ass broke pensioner..
It is a gamble, and although I take that risk, I would recommend new parts when affordable.
I often have to buy/fix things twice when gamble goes wrong.

The rubbers are quite soft, if they don't look perished then they are probably fine. I repack my bearings.
