what dose everyone here think about wheels spacers thinking of fitting 38mm spacers on my WT diffs |

They're kinda useful offroad. I hate the scrub radius and the extra 20 wheel nuts. I do what i can to not run spacers. |

Make sure you locktite the internal wheel nuts too, as they can come off and make a big mess of things. Load wise (if its all restrained and properly located), its just as nasty as big offset rims. Is there a reason why you are going wheel spacers? Itll make it more stable, but you will also fall into big car ruts. Less lift can achieve the stability desired Ive used wheel spacers, and i really really prefer to avoid them. Have you considered options to avoid wheel spacers? |

thanks guys and at the moment im running Wt diffs with fliped rims and the valve hits on my brake and just wont to try get some more room there thats all really i am looking for a set of jeep rims to fix it so there not fliped rims but just looking for a cheap fix for the weekend thats all |

If I were to want more track width, and didnt want to fit wider diffs, I'd run flipped rims before spacers.. you can get rims flipped for about the same money, and as dan said, saves having 20 more wheel nuts and studs to fail edit: flipped rims and wheel spacers.... poor king pins... Why not weld up the valve hole and drill new ones on the outside of the rim |

A proper flipped rim should have had the center welded on facing the other way, so you valve hole should have stayed on the outside... that's how i've always seen it done anyway. What size rim are you running and how much offset does it actually have? (measure it). Pro-comp make 15x7 -38mm rims to suit sierra - theyre pretty dished! I run them and a set of customs on my sierra and wouldn't want to be any wider. When i got mine they were about $140ea i think? About the same price as it cost to have the custom rims made (brand new ROH bands and brand new centers welded to my specs). If you can find an engineering mob that does flipped rims they usually charge about $60ea to cut, flip and re-weld. Obviously in doing this though you want to make sure the donor rims are in great condition (a good shop will spin them up on a lathe before cutting to check). |

Summerfields used to do it, but the company closed last year. I understand that one of the brothers still operates down armadale/byford way. Coz, I am having horrible thoughts that the standard rim has simply been turned around and bolted on backwards. That's really unsafe, if that is the case. |

(gibb st) lol you're right, sorry =) Because i got new bands the valve holes were drilled to suit... i got mine done by summerfield, and yes, i heard he closed up shop. He had health issues when i had mine made (multiple trips to hospital etc). I hope the old bloke is ok and still kicking!! |
