Anyone id this power steering box?
Bought a g16b that came out of a sierra with the power steering attached but it was fitted using a modified chassis rail instead of the ben t wedge.
I bought the kit and the bolts are in a similar pattern but look to be about 15mm out?Image
Sorry about the pic quality

Yeah, looks like it might be a Cressida steering box to me. Does it have "TOYODA" cast into it on the front?

I do an adaptor plate to fit those if it is a Cressida box:

Ok it doesn't have 'toyoda' stamped but it definitely looks like the Japanese Toyota characters are.Image

It looks like a Celica box, and the pitman arm matches the Celica style with the balljoint built in.

I can do an adaptor for Celica boxes for $95 with the countersunk cap screws required to bolt it all up included.

Is there anyway to tell 100%?
Just want to make sure before I order another adaptor I can't use.

Might be easier to grab a vitara box.

Yep, if you take some measurements between the bolt holes I can check.

Also if it is a celica one, what pitman arm would you recommend?
I just remembered the ball joint is pushed into my steering arm not the pitman.

The Vitara pitman will fit and has the correct Suzuki taper for the balljoint, but is quite flat with not much drop. A Toyota Tarago pitman arm will also fit, and has similar drop to the stock Sierra pitman arm, but the taper for the balljoint is biggger, so will need a different balljoint or a tapered sleeve.

I'm only sitting at pretty much standard height so the flatter arm might not be so much of a problem?

That's true. The top of the balljoint stud misses the chassis by about 10mm with the Vitara pitman from memory, so you could eyeball how different that is to your current setup and make sure the drag link isn't going to be at too much of an angle.

Ok I removed some grease and lo and behold 'toyoda' is stamped on the front.
Does this narrow it down?
