So it turns out I have plenty of asian hub parts but no actual complete hubs. I do have a set of avm hubs. There missing a few bolts but no biggie. Are they any good at all? (Running 34s locker and good gearing)? |

I ran AVM's with 31 Extreme's, 6.5's and air locked front. Never had an issue with them at all with comp use as well. I like the internals of them far better than the aisin spring set up |

I had some for a bit. They worked. Just hated the little screws that hold the locking cap on. |

I had the sealed AVM hubs on my Vit, they were fine. Not being fully serviceable, one got some crap inside and started making horrible noises so I bought the shiny fancy ones. Broke them on it's first outing. I wasn't even doing anything difficult. Sent them back under warranty, had them fixed, Sold them. |

What broke? As far as I know AVM is a Brazilian OEM for several other brands - Mile Marker, Rugged Ridge & SuperWinch come to mind - and they are also used by several vehicle manufacturers as OE - I've had no problems with mine (and yes, I do have the "shiny" ones). |

Not sure exactly, there was just a note saying, Fixed, tested ok. I wasn't too impressed, but at least the after sales service from the peope i bought them off was good. |

So I have mine off and soaking in some degreeser. There off a zook on 31s so I figure they must be ok. What a pain to get off. Started with a allan key. Then torx bit tapped in then had to dill some + half of the bolts were missing to start with! I have a pretty good idea how to fix this (will post up latter if it works.) What's peoples opinions on hib bolts? Should I ho grade 12 shcs from the start or go cheepies and replace track side? |
