OK guys i wanna put bigger tires on my zook, 31's at least.

So I have a Suzuki sierra 1989 with the gti conversion

my options atm.
change the 1.3 transfer case to a 1.0 ltr transfer case...
plz if anyones don't this share your experience.

- i need to be able to run around town also. will this stuff my top speed?

or buy 6 5 1 gears off this site... i nearly didn't write the post cause im very much sold on this but if the other option works its a lot cheaper

i'm running the same , i have an 89 with a gti conversion and i'm currently running 31's
i'm yet to change my transfer case gears and i currently peak at about 85km's and say goodbye to 5th gear, you can drive in 5th but you will have more success in 4th.
from speaking with other guys 6 5 1 is more heading towards guy running rockcrawler trucks with 33's+
and i've been lead towards 5.14:1 gearing or even 4.9:1
im not sure about the 1l case personally but have heard of others having success with it.

I would have thought 6.5's would be close to perfect with 31's and a GTi.

I do 6.5's with 30's.

Its great for slow stuff and the carby 1.3 loves the extra revs on road.
