Post subject:  Vitara wheel movement and funny noises

Hey guys, noticed a metal tinny clunking noise coming from what seems like the front of the vehicle, leaning towards passenger side. Sounds like a ticking like a vibration or something hitting a moving object like the rim, cant see or find anything, checked exhaust, wheels, discs etc.. Thought must be bearings, so jacked the front up today and found no play between the wheel and what holds it on.. So bearings would seem fine... But the wheel does rock a little, and the entire disc assembly and strut rock with it, when i popped the bonnet even the strut bolts and strut towers have movement all together.. Is this normal, i never noticed it before. Im assuming not, what could cause this? Could it be making this annoying sound?
It only does it randomly.. I cant get it to consistently make the sound, sometimes cruising, sometimes backing off and sometimes accelerating.

I also get a bad vibration through the car between 20-30km/h, not sure if unis, tyres, diff or a combination.
Any input would be appeciated, cheers

do a spanner check to make sure it's all tight, the bearings shouldn't have any movement in them.

not sure if the early vitara's have them but inside the hub there is a little roller bearing the the outer stub axle of the CV run on, I had them fail on my silver shorty & it took a fair while for me to work out where the noise was coming from. they're a genuine suzuki part as no one else has a listing for them.
