Battery in vehicle has died, need to replace it, it is an 11 plate 420 cold cranking amps. The old battery fairly small & it seems plenty room to fit a larger more powerful battery What are most people fitting?? |

Being its a 96, which side of the engine bay is it? If its the passenger side then yeah you can fit a pretty big battery without much drama, just measure it the tray and the height and see what will fit |

I beat the tray flat in mine and put a 620CCA in there.

By the look of the size of that battery an optima d34 yellow top would be substantially smaller with a higher output 750cca and 55 amp hour. All the dimensions are on there web site and you can pick them up for around $220 on eBay and kpd 4x4 dose thence a good price , it's been a couple of years since I brought on from kpd though. |

I would do this too. We deliberately decided on a cheaper ordinary battery because we didn't know when we would next use the vehicle - could be a year before we used it next. If we were in tha same location as the vehicle, we would drive the hell out of it and drop an optima in. |
