bloody radiator is shot... am considering a complete overhaul of everything as every time i fix something something else goes wrong... currently 1.3 carby with standard manifold and crappy suspensions any ideas on what i should blow my $900 on? ( i get paid $1500 next thurs)
oh and the battery keeps dying... just found out that one of the bolts on the pulley that holds the v belt to the engine block has snapped too... found that after it overheated and smoke/steam started pissing out the airbox... AND i work in the one place pub transport doesnt go too... :evil:

Looks like my radiator. I put some metal mend on mine as a temporary measure until I could afford a new radiator. That was about 9 months ago now :oops:

lol sounds like a plan! well hopefully i'll replace the radiator soon as i noticed this morning some of the channels are bent too... any other ideas for my $900???

Yeah mine split in the same spot and I bought a cheap disposable torch and some solder from bunnings and brazed it. Its lasted 2 years on mine and is in the Mrs sierra now. Theres nothing like a new one though. :)

Just been through this 2 days ago with my Vit
took it in and got the top tank removed and cleaned out , got the clutch fan repacked and a new thermosat $140 I removed all parts and took them in to save removal and fitting charges.
$140 well spent I recon.

iv noticed mine has has broken away from the mounts at either side, iv been contemplating the idea of brazing it, im just concerned that while fixing, I will expose another problem(the heat from brazing may distoert/damage OME welds? )

Hybrid, do you recall what torch and solder you purchased from that hardware place!??
