Could you find another coily body to rob a mount out of? It's just a matter of carefully drilling out the spot welds and tacking the new one in |

I did a similar repair (except mine was rust). I got some 2mm plate and stiched in the new metal, added a captive nut to suit the seat bolt and a bit of paint. Job done. |

Yer I though plating it would be the best/ easiest option. |
