Post subject:  help, damaged seat mount.

So I have destroyed a drivers seat mount and not sure what way to go about repairing it, was going to weld a plate on there but its fairly thin, has anybody repaired something like this? Any help is appreciated. Pics below.

Could you find another coily body to rob a mount out of? It's just a matter of carefully drilling out the spot welds and tacking the new one in

I did a similar repair (except mine was rust). I got some 2mm plate and stiched in the new metal, added a captive nut to suit the seat bolt and a bit of paint. Job done.

Yer I though plating it would be the best/ easiest option.
